- 2 whole lemons
- 1 Piece of ginger root
- 1 table ground cinnamon (this is completely optional)
Here we go, follow these steps to make the Lemon Ginger Detox Tea:
- Step One – Boil water on the stove
- Step Two – while water is boiling grate the ginger root and put it into a small bowl or container.
- Step Three – Pour the boiled water over the grated ginger and let it steep for 10 minutes
- Step Four – While you’re waiting for the ginger to steep slice the lemons and put the slices into a pitcher
- Step Five – After the ginger has steeped for 10 minutes use a strainer to pour the ginger water into the pitcher with the lemons. Tip: use a spoon to squeeze the chunks of ginger into the strainer and get out all the juices you can from the ginger
- Step Six – Fill the pitcher with water, distilled is preferred if you have it.
- Step Seven – Stir the mixture in the pitcher and put it in the fridge for 24 hours
- Step Eight – Drink the tea first thing in the morning, a great way to start your day! Sometimes I like to have a glass before heading to bed as well
